A very warm welcome to the
new Morgan Sports Car Club website.

This new site has been a while in the making, for various reasons. My thanks to Adrian Slade and Peter Jenks for the original design, content and layout, and to Tim and his team at Jarrett and Lam for the great work in getting the site sorted and live in a few months. Particular thanks go to our Membership Secretary, Gill Bevan, for her work on the membership side of the site, logins etc. and general assistance, and to Keith Gibbins, our web liaison, for his assistance going forward and over the last few years leading up to this new site. I hope you like it!

The Morgan Sports Car Club (MSCC) is for enthusiasts of Morgan cars. There are nearly 5,000 members worldwide, with a network of more than 35 local Centres in the UK and 47 affiliated Clubs in other countries. We have permits to hold races and speed events and have our own annual race meeting. We also run a sprint taster day, usually in March.

Each Centre also organises its own programme of activities, both social and competitive. The cornerstone is quite often the monthly regional centre meetings when members get together for chatter – which sometimes even features Morgans! As a member of the MSCC you are entitled to join any meeting and will be made most welcome. You can find a map on the Centres page to locate your nearest group. Many arrange to go farther afield; tours from the UK have included New Zealand, the USA and many trips to Europe. The Club has an active Travel Club, run for us by Scenic and Continental Car Tours. Full details of all these benefits and more are listed on the MSCC Travel Club page and in Miscellany, the Club's magazine.

The MSCC organises an annual event called MOG (Morgan Owners Gathering), held in the UK and usually hosted by a Centre. These events usually incorporate scenic runs, tourist attractions, pitstop challenge, gymkhana, concours, dinners, dancing, musical entertainment, trade stands and other social and competitive events.

There is a Race Series, the Morgan Challenge, which is sponsored by Aero Racing and has rounds at most of the famous UK circuits. In addition, the MSCC Speed Championship, sponsored by Techniques, runs throughout each summer at sprint and hill climb venues; information on both is in the Competition section.

The Club magazine, Miscellany, is a full-colour monthly publication which carries all the news and articles on a host of subjects of interest to members as well as a calendar of events. We also have Facebook and Twitter pages – please ‘like’ and ‘follow’ us! The MSCC has a technical section that arranges for parts to be manufactured when necessary and can offer advice on older cars, and an archive section for historical details.

There are a number of members’ benefits, including a Preferred Insurance Scheme which points members towards insurers who are known to be able to supply the service and cover expected for Morgans. The Institute of Advanced Motorists offers discounts on its ‘Skills for Life’ package, and our Travel Club gives a member discount and currently an annual £50 voucher. Other benefits are listed in the magazine.

Above all else, the MSCC is a Club for those who enjoy Morgans, and it offers extremely good value for the membership fee. If you are not already a member and have a passion for the Morgan sports car, do join us – you will be made very welcome. I hope to see you at an event in the near future. Happy Morganeering.
