NEC Classic Motor Show 2025

Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 7-9 November 2025

The Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham is the largest indoor motor show in the country and probably one of the largest in Europe. With over 300 car clubs and 3,000 or so cars there it is a great draw for the expected 70,000+ visitors who descend on the NEC every November. Enthusiasts come from all parts of the UK and there is always a large contingent from the Emerald Isle which is only a very short flight away over the Irish Sea. There is usually a fair number of international visitors and every year I am surprised at the distances people travel because “It is the best!”.

This year's theme ‘Best of Both Worlds’ invites clubs to celebrate vehicles that embody a harmonious fusion of contrasting elements and encourages the showcase of vehicles that blend two distinct worlds:

Old Meets New
Performance Meets Practicality
Original Meets Modified
Luxury Meets Affordability
Form Meets Function
Conceptual Meets Real

In addition to the car clubs there are auctions of classic vehicles as well as trade stands and autojumble where you can spend money on that gadget you never knew you needed or delight in finding that elusive Whitworth-threaded widget for which you have been searching for years. In addition there are stalls which will feed you health-foods – my favourite being the Crusty Pie Company (other pie companies are available).

Unlike many club stands our is always an open stand and there is a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors – even those enquiring about the famous wooden chassis.

For those intending to visit here are a few tips:

Club discounted tickets (£4 on day tickets). The MSCC code – CCCNOV5182 – is open for use by family, friends and followers. Clubbing together can save on the admin costs as well – so get organised. The club benefits from each ticket sold through the club code. Book advance tickets at www.necclassicmotorshow.com. Book by 16th October and you’ll help us earn additional benefits!
Parking at the NEC costs an arm and a leg. If you pay in advance it only costs an arm and a lower leg. It may be cheaper to park at Birmingham International Railway Station or to travel by train. The NEC Halls are a five minute indoor walk from the station.
Bring cash with you in case – NEC cashpoints charge you for the privilege of giving you access to your own money. There may be free cashpoints at the station (if in use!).
If you are coming to the show from Europe, Scandinavia or further afield, please let me know in advance at philip.royle@ntlworld.com so that we can make sure that the welcome reflects the distance you have travelled.
We try to keep the stand well-spaced for those using wheelchairs or mobility scooters (please keep your speed down!). We welcome blind/visually impaired visitors and if requested we will arrange a guide to describe the cars. For Deaf people, I have BSL as my second language. If you need any assistance please ask. Some stand helpers have experience of neurodiversity and will do their best to make all visitors feel welcome and comfortable.
