Class R Exeter Trial

THE EXETER TRIAL 5TH & 6TH JANUARY 2024

If you fancy a good sporting Winter drive why not join with other MSCC members who trial their Morgans in The Motor Cycling Club’s Class R Exeter Trial starting from Haynes Motor Museum Somerset.

MCC Trials are an important part of the Morgan heritage and the relatively new Class R offers the drivers & Navigators to use some of the classic trials hills from before WW2 which have now been tarmacked.

There are a number of Morgans already entered and there is still room for more.

From Haynes Museum we will drive about 200 miles on a set route with observed sections that will challenge both driver and navigator. You will need to make sure that your car complies with the regulations which means that it must be road legal and some additions such as fire extinguisher, reversing lights, tow points front & rear are needed.

Driver and Navigator also need a clubman's licence which is available from MotorsportUK at no cost. The aim is to follow a route card, precisely and on time, with a few observed sections and tests. Entries need to be made before 17th of November so not much time is left. If you are interested in competing in this event take a look at the MCC website, https://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/ .
