75 Years of MSCC – Celebrating SportsMog

A national Centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club focused on the “sports car” spirit and driving pleasure of Morgan ownership.

Sports cars have always been chosen for one thing above all else – driving pleasure. Morgans in particular combine stunning, head-turning looks with the unmistakable thrill of open-air motoring.

Over the years, many owners have modified their Morgans to suit their individual tastes, improve performance, enhance handling, or prepare them for competition. From hill climbs and sprint events to circuit racing, autotests, track days, production car trials, and even concours events, Morgans continue to prove just how versatile a true sports car can be.

Recognising the passion many members have for the sporting side of Morgan ownership, SportsMog was formed in May 2016 as a national Centre focused around driving enjoyment and the “sports car” nature of the marque.

Since then, SportsMog has become a home for members who enjoy using their Morgans enthusiastically, whether competitively or simply for the pleasure of driving. The Centre supports motorsport championships including the AR Motorsport Morgan Challenge and the MSCC Techniques SpeedMog Championship, while also organising:

track days and hill climb school visits
driving trips in the UK and overseas
visits to motorsport teams and factories
Noggins at historic race and hill climb meetings
guest speakers and technical talks
knowledge sharing on tuning and modifying Morgans

SportsMog also plays an active role in supporting wider Club events, including marshalling and volunteering activities.

As the MSCC celebrates 75 years, SportsMog represents another example of the diversity of the Club and the many different ways members enjoy their Morgans – always with driving pleasure at the heart of the experience.
