!!! 12 DAYS TO GO!!!
As we continue our countdown to the Morgan Sports Car Club's 75th Anniversary, we're celebrating one of the most iconic and enduring models in motoring history: the Morgan 4/4.

First introduced in 1936, the 4/4 takes its name from a simple but significant innovation. It was Morgan's first four-wheeled car and was powered by a four-cylinder engine, giving rise to the now-famous name: 4/4.
Over the following eight decades, the 4/4 became one of the defining models of the Morgan range. While many manufacturers completely reinvented their cars over the years, the 4/4 remained true to its original philosophy. Lightweight, simple, engaging and unmistakably Morgan, it delivered a driving experience that focused on enjoyment rather than complexity.
The longevity of the 4/4 is remarkable. Remaining in production until 2018, it became the longest-running production car model in the world, spanning more than 80 years of continuous development. Throughout that time, it evolved to meet changing regulations and customer expectations while retaining the timeless styling and character that made it so popular.
Built using Morgan's traditional combination of an ash wood frame and aluminium body panels, the 4/4 represented a direct link to the company's heritage. Generations of owners enjoyed its straightforward engineering, responsive handling and intimate connection between driver, machine and road.
For many enthusiasts, the 4/4 was the perfect introduction to Morgan ownership. Its accessible performance, classic appearance and pure driving experience made it a favourite with touring drivers, club members and first-time Morgan owners alike. Whether tackling a winding country road, attending a Noggin or embarking on a continental adventure, the 4/4 was always ready for the journey.
The model's production came to an end in 2018, closing an extraordinary chapter in Morgan history. Yet its legacy lives on through the thousands of examples still enjoyed by owners around the world and through the values it embodied: simplicity, craftsmanship and driving pleasure.
As the Morgan Sports Car Club celebrates 75 years of friendship, adventure and enthusiasm, the 4/4 stands as a reminder of everything that makes Morgan special. Few cars can claim such a long and distinguished history, and fewer still continue to inspire such affection among owners and enthusiasts.
