The West. No noggin was planned for January but will be for February as the majority of members would be away. Date for February was February 20th at 7.00. Dates for 2026 will be compiled and posted.

Bridgend area. The January Noggin was on the same day as Storm Goretti hit Wales, but despite the forecast 13 of us met for lunch at the Grove Golf and compared both Christmas and forthcoming plans for the new year. Several offers of potential runs were made so dates can be confirmed when calendars are available. By 3.00 pm when we decided that home beckoned the sky was very dark and the rain/sleet was torrential. Driving home was “interesting “ especially for those heading North where snow was falling. Hopefully next month’s meeting on February 12th again at The Grove will be in better weather.

One event that did take place was Jackie and Stuarts Glen yr Afon weekend in Usk. Several couples attended and it was great to see our ambassadors from a foreign land there. Well done Jackie and Stuart and John and Margaret (Woking branch). The weather was not great so no Morgans were driven there. Neil and Helen used their Off-roader (Landie) which was always a back up if needed. On the Saturday a run A second run went to a Classic car location not far away. Lowe Classic Cars. Coffee and they kindly opened the showroom for us as it was closed for an event there the following day. Some very nice cars there plus a workshop where several upmarket cars were being worked on. Then across country to the Royal George near Tintern went through some “interesting roads through what was a wire making area but now only some ponds remain. Thanks to Paul and Lesley, Stuart and Jackie for guiding us. The pub has not long re-openened after a refurb and proved a nice choice. One to remember as an alternative to The Anchor by Tintern Abbey.
Plans for runs and trips in 2026 are under way by various people so let's get out and about in the cars. That's what they were built for after all!
