In May 2023 a new association formed between Morgan Sports Car Club and StarterMotor; a charitable organisation based at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire.

StarterMotor supports more than 170 apprentices employed by the historic vehicle industry through its advocacy and provision of ‘learning cars’ plus a ‘driving fleet’ of a dozen classic, vintage and veteran cars. It supports colleges at Bicester Heritage, Brooklands and Silverstone providing accredited training to students who qualify as Heritage Vehicle Technicians. 

StarterMotor has partnerships with schools, colleges, universities and apprenticeship schemes and provides vehicles and other resources for their students not only to learn from, but also to use in competitions, events and shows.

MSCC became a supporter of StarterMotor, with a launch ceremony at Mogfest 2023. A cheque for £1000 from MSCC was presented and a car,  loaned to StarterMotor on behalf of MSCC by Ambrose Langley-Poole. The car, a previous Antique Automobile Club of America concours winner is a lovely 1953 flat rad and will be on loan to StarterMotor for 2 years during which time it will driven by StarterMotor ambassadors and be displayed at numerous classic motoring events, flying the flag for both MSCC and StarterMotor.

So far MSCC members have raised over £5000 in donations and fundraising.

Various fundraising events will take place with StarterMotor over the coming year.
